What FleaB doesn't like about Explorers:
Friendly place with a good atmosphere, but evening meals only served between 6 and 7pm. Could live with this but unfortunately the food we ate was disappointing: dry pie, not much filling, weird 'gravy ' (was a clear sauce), a few chips and peas £14ish: the cost of the meal was too high for what it was unfortunately. Friendly little local in Briston, did'nt eat there but stopped for drinks and was made welcome. Dog friendly. We liked the fact is is still a pub, use it or lose it! View all feedback.

read moreNestled in the quaint village of Briston, this charming pub offers a friendly atmosphere and a dog-friendly environment. Patrons highlight its unpretentious vibe, with a cozy interior featuring an open fire. While traditional pub grub, including pie and lasagna, garners mixed reviews, many appreciate the unassuming comfort and value it provides compared to pricier alternatives in the area. Though the limited evening dining hours and occasional issues with beer quality have been noted, the welcoming staff and engaging local community contribute to a delightful experience. Ideal for those seeking a relaxed pub setting, this establishment is a local gem worth visiting.
