Costa Coffee - North Lincolnshire

The worst experience we have ever had and we will never return. On Christmas Eve, we wanted to enjoy a delicious oat milk latte with our family. We had two free drink vouchers that we wanted to redeem. The app showed that we had the free drinks, and the server acknowledged this, but unfortunately, was unable to process them. He called the manager, a man with dark hair, a beard, and glasses, who completely ignored the fact that both his staff and a customer confirmed the availability of the free drinks. He showed no interest in what we were saying and just wanted us to pay. Despite our explanations, he was extremely rude and in the end, asked if we still wanted the coffee. We ended up losing one free drink, as he only processed one in his till, and we had to pay for the other. We felt completely unheard and disrespected by this type of service. This manager is insensitive and unprofessional and should not be in a customer-facing role. We will never return and will be sure to share our negative experience with our family, friends, and on social media. Another establishment would have listened to their staff and customers, but this manager is something else.

This Costa is the best!! Without a doubt! Simon and the young lady who served me today were attentive, informative, and the best in Scunthorpe. I will not go anywhere else now. Most customers I've noticed know Simon and Simon knows their drinks! I have visited 3 times recently, and it's Simon's service and friendliness that I return for. If every franchise could have a Simon, they would be winning! Xxx

We ordered a caramel latte, but received a regular latte instead. We also ordered a chai latte, which was prepared correctly. Despite the mix-up with the caramel latte, both coffees were still enjoyable.

My husband and I went to the cafe as a break on our way to mum's in Lincs. We always stop there and buy a cappuccino and a white americano. We also get two slices of toast with jam/marmalade. The service is always very quick. The staff are efficient, chatty and friendly. We never have to wait long to get our food. The bread is brown seeded and very generous in size. It is delicious. We look forward to it. We also stop there on our way back home too. We went there on Thursday, 9th February 2023.

Really wanted to post a review as the lad who was serving customers was simply a joy this morning (26th September). Absolutely lovely to every customer, I watched him make the day of an elderly lady complimenting her on her outfit and being so lovely to a child. We need more people like this lad, keep being a breath of fresh air young man, ina world of such much sadness you are a rainbow
