Feedback
Okay this is a restaurant within Motherwell College staffed and food made by the students BUT The quality of the food is at the top end and sophisticated.I would compare this to two fat ladies at the buttery in Glasgow. You need to book in advance and they only do lunch.I had a salad, salmon main and lemon tart with a latte and my wife had something similar we shared a bottle of fizzy water total cost less than £20.The downside is that you may need to return food if undercooked as these are students learning the trade but at this price that seems a good deal.
Had a pleasant lunch at ml one today, although I initially didn't realize it was a tapas menu until the waitress explained it. They also offered larger portions. The food was mostly delicious, but there were a few small mistakes this time. However, the staff were willing to correct any issues or remove the item from the bill. It's important to provide feedback so they can improve. I highly recommend this restaurant, as I have visited many times and will continue to do so. The reason I am writing this review is because I accidentally posted a photo of the tapas we had, which included salt and chilli squid, potato and chorizo quesadillas, chicken and chorizo paella, butternut squash risotto, and plaice with potatoes and peppers (I can't recall the menu name). For starters, one of us had a melon and duck dish, while the other two of us had the white onion and chili soup, which was very delicious. The desserts were okay, but the rice pudding with winter fruit compote could have been warmer. The poached plum sundae was very tasty.
I had one of the best lunches ever today at ml one. It was absolutely perfect from start to finish, and I was in and out within an hour. The cooking was top-notch, and the food was truly five-star quality. I have been a few times before and always enjoyed it, but I was really impressed by the high quality of the cooking today. It was amazing to get 3 courses and 2 drinks for just £16 for 2 people. I highly recommend trying it out - I cannot praise it enough.
What a superb lunch! Overall was much better than the 'taste ' training restaurant at cumbernauld college. Menu was excellent with unbelievable prices. With the high quality of food it makes for ridiculously good value (laughably low prices). All high quality food cooked well. Really nice dishes and great service very quick and friendly our waiter was always smiling which is always nice. Highly recommend. its easy to forget your in a college and I would be happy paying a lot more for the same standard of food elsewhere theres even a lot of places nearby cant match this standard.
Despite its location within the college, ML One's atmosphere is reminiscent of a high-end restaurant. The decor is lovely, and the table settings are impeccable. The menu, though not extensive, offered dishes that appealed to all of us. With a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains, and 2 desserts, we had a hard time deciding on our orders. We were greeted at the door and shown to our table by the well-trained staff. The service was impeccable, and the friendly atmosphere enhanced our dining experience. The food was outstanding, with beautifully presented starters such as mussels, haggis, and soup. The main courses, including a burger, stuffed mushrooms, and chicken tikka, were equally impressive in taste and presentation. Though we were too full for dessert, the bill came as a pleasant surprise. The total cost for a two-course meal with soft drinks for all 4 of us was under £25. The value for money at ML One far exceeded our expectations, and we agreed that the quality of food and service surpassed many higher-priced restaurants we've visited. We look forward to returning to ML One for their themed nights in the future. Overall, this is a restaurant we highly recommend and will definitely be revisiting.
