We went to the restaurant on a Friday night and had a great time. The portions were large and the food was delicious. However, we were the only ones there the entire night and noticed that the staff gathered at the front desk to talk or eat, which didn't seem very professional. View all feedback.
What aldomartini doesn't like about Chin Chin Bar Restaurant:
Bought a deal for a 2 courser at £20. It was immediately clear we’d have a few supplements. Shared meat spring rolls and salt and chilli ribs which cost an extra £2.50 given we only got 3 it wasn’t worth the extra and dishes could have been hotter. I had 2 pints of lager at 5.20 each and my wife had a can of Diet Coke at 2.50 so not too bad. We shared mains of sizzling chicken satay (extra £2) and Mongolian beef cost... View all feedback.
I had heard great things about this restaurant since the owners changed, so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did because the service was fantastic, especially from Key and Sharmain. I will definitely be returning soon with my family for a birthday celebration. The food was delicious, much better than the last time I went. It seems like the new owner is putting in the effort and making all the necessary changes. I would highly recommend this place.
I used to be a loyal customer of chin chin and always enjoyed my meals there. However, the quality has drastically declined in my recent visits. Tonight, I was actually considering asking for a refund. I paid £27 for fried rice, chips, salt and chilli chicken, and curry sauce. In the past, the chips would come in a insulated bag to keep them hot and crispy, but this time they were undercooked and served in a soggy paper bag. The chicken fried rice had no flavor, and the salt and chilli chicken, while a decent portion, was tasteless and dry. To top it off, we didn't even receive prawn crackers for nearly £30. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

I saw on Facebook that the restaurant changed hands around 2 weeks ago. Me and my partner went and what an improvement ! Menu hasn’t changed just quality of food has improved drastically. Would highly recommend !
Well that was grim. We ordered from the gluten free menu …….. Chicken chow mein, fried rice and curry sauce. The chicken chow mein was so bland. The tiny bits of chicken were tasteless and there were no onions or bean sprouts in with the noodles. The fried rice ….. as per the chow mein. The curry sauce at least tasted of something. Being gluten free is tough but this is our worst experiment yet . £16.50 ! Supper beckons
