I typically don't pay much attention to negative reviews as most people tend to exaggerate their experiences. This restaurant was a pleasant surprise after receiving a recommendation. We were warmly welcomed into a happy environment and promptly seated at our table by a cheerful waiter. The restaurant was 75% full with couples and smaller groups, and there was live music adding to the ambiance. We were quickly served our drinks and the service was efficient and friendly. The food was delicious and well-presented, with generous portions. Overall, it was a lovely evening with great food in a cozy setting. I would not pay attention to the negative reviews, as our experience was nothing but positive.
The lunchtime special menu at this restaurant is excellent. The portions are large and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and it's good value for money.
Ok so you would think when I had to break out the quavers and wotsits for the kids, they’d get the hint and bring them their starters. But no, it was another hour before they had any food. Even then, there was no kids menus (I mean how hard is it to have some pizza in an Italian restaurant). So adult size and style of food it was. Seabass kids?? The surroundings were grotty and floor slippery. Like some previous reviews, only one waiter had some social awareness and was appropriately embarrassed. He tried, where he could to help. But the Management and senior staffs attitudes were awful and of course, we weren’t even asked how we found the food or experience. The mains were ok, the desserts were not. Overall an awful experience and I won’t be back. I had some good memories of this restaurant way back, but I am sure my kids will not!! Please don’t dine here for Christmas or special occasions, especially if you have kids
Abysmal. Almost 4 hours for a 3 course meal. I understand making money but when you take in way more covers than you can manage you have to ask yourself if it’s worth the long term cost (12 adults at our table and none will be back). One waiter tried his utmost but it was a lost cause. It appeared that it was one (large) sitting and mains weren’t being served until all starters were done and the same with desserts. Either that or not enough crockery! Awful.
We had booked this for Christmas dinner, I thought the food was nice and one staff member went above and beyond to try and fix everyone else’s mess, I thought the service was absolutely appalling, our kids starters were completely forgotten about. We waited an hour and a half between starters and our mains, bearing in mind we had young children with us, it was way too long a wait. I found the guy running the restaurant to be quite rude. I can completely appreciate Christmas Day might be quite stressful for restaurants but they took on way more customers than they could handle, wasn’t worth the money and we definitely won’t be back.
