We recently had a bad experience with katsu chicken don and chicken kaarage don at Sushi with Goons in Fremantle and were greatful that Mikazuki Sushi got it right for us today. The chicken was crunchy on the outside and tender in the middle, just as it should be. The rice was also cooked perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed both the katsu and the kaarage. Thank you for the delicious lunch. We will be back again soon View all feedback.
What DforDee doesn't like about Mikazuki Sushi:
Sushi and katsu chicken were good. However, I did feel rushed to make a decision while i was still trying to decide. I didn't like that the chilli powder isn't Japanese chilli pepper powder ???? View all feedback.
The Teriyaki Chicken is quite tasty and comes with a generous portion of rice.
We recently had a disappointing experience with katsu chicken don and chicken karaage don at Sushi with Goons in Fremantle, but we were grateful that Mikazuki Sushi did it right for us today. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, just as it should be. The rice was cooked to perfection as well. We thoroughly enjoyed both the katsu and the karaage. Thank you for the delicious lunch! We’ll definitely be back soon.
At $10 each, this is easily one of the best Teriyaki Chicken Bento meals I've ever had the pleasure of trying. It's impressively good by food court standards, and I consider myself a bit of a food court connoisseur! The only downside was the complimentary California sushi. While the fillings were fresh and generous, the sushi was made with what I suspect was overcooked Jasmine or long-grain rice, resulting in a rather gloppy texture instead of authentic Japanese sushi rice. Nonetheless, I appreciated that they granted my request to have the teriyaki sauce on the side (nothing worse than chicken pieces drowning in sauce). I will definitely return to sample the other bento options in the near future!
I made my way through most of the sushi and thought it was decent overall. However, the rice was a bit sticky, and I was surprised to find that they didn’t offer any brown or black rice options, which I’ve come to expect at many places nowadays. Just as I was about to enjoy my second-to-last piece of salmon sashimi, I bit into a bone. This has never happened to me before with salmon sashimi, so I think they should definitely pay more attention to deboning it properly.
The sushi and katsu chicken were tasty, but I felt a bit rushed while trying to make my decision. Additionally, I was disappointed that the chili powder used wasn’t Japanese chili pepper powder.
