Kim's Fish And Chips - North Lake

The menu here is exactly what you would expect from a fish and chip shop. Nothing extra or fancy just the usual fish and chip shop staples but what keeps us coming back is the food is cooked to the exact same high standard every time. The fish is fried exactly to the right moment, the batter is fresh and crispy, the fish is soft and juicy and unlike many other fish and chip shop orders, there is no taste of old, rancid oil. You get exactly the same amount of chips every time and the fish, if it isn't the right size, will be made up of two pieces. When you order from Kim's you know exactly what you will get and it is always fresh, cooked to order and tasty.

I rang direct and ordered.  The guy who answered the phone was professional and friendly.  Said my fish and chips would be ready in 15 minutes.  I ordered 2 fish and chips and 3 potato scallops, turned up 5 minutes early and the food was ready exactly on time, so I had to wait 5 minutes.  We shared the food between 3 people and we've still got some left for tomorrow.  The chips were great, potato scallops the best I've ever had and the fish was really delicious.  I asked what fish it was and he said Basa wow, my favourite fish at the moment.  I reckon there's either new management or owners here.  We will definitely be back!

Great chips! Not soggy and nice and crispy outer. Fish was great too, it was not oily and actually tasted delicious. Definitely found our new local for F&C!

We live near plenty of fish and chip shops, but we always take the time to drive to Kim's, and we are never disappointed, always perfectly cooked and never oily.

Not too bad for your local fish and chips, would return
