What an amazing Tiki bar. Legendary!!! The oldest in Los Angeles. Since 1958!!!Delicious, Refreshing authentic Tiki cocktails. Amazing staff. Very friendly. The amazing Marie was gracious enough to give us a tour of the place and show us how they restored it to the way it was originally in 1958. If your into Tiki this place is a MUST!!! There are very few old Tiki bars around so go visit them all!!!! Okole Moluna!!! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tonga Hut:
Drinks are good...place is very tiki bar. Lots of history and the staff is friendly and helpful. They do not serve food, but have a taco stand in back. Food was good, but took 50 minutes to get two tacos. Just know it will be a long wait for food if you go on a weekend. View all feedback.
The drinks at this restaurant are delightful. During my visit, there was a small taco stand outside where you could place an order and have the food brought to your table. I am not certain if the taco stand is always there. The service may be a bit slow at times, but the staff is very amiable.
The restaurant has misleading hours. I am new to NYC and took an Uber because public transportation is not very reliable here. I wasted an Uber ride because the restaurant said it was open on Monday, but when I arrived, I found out that it not only didn't have a front entrance, but it was closed. Businesses should take the time to update their Google listings, as it only takes 5 seconds!
It was OK. Clean inside. Drink tasted nice and was presented well.
Tiki is as Tiki does, and they does it right at TongaHut! Impeccable bartending! We sat in the Tiger Lounge , part of the outdoor covid expansion in the back. Great job TikiPeeps! I 'll say it. Best Zombie in LA County! Precision is the key, and you can taste the care put in the glass. BRAVO! Update! Still awesome Zombies and the taco stand is great accompaniment! Had a nice time hanging out with Santa!
Gabby and Aaron were the best! The drinks and atmosphere/decor were perfect!
