Peking House - North Hertfordshire

Got a kungPo Veggie dish,looking forward to it. Got home only only to discover it was a deep fried Alsatian. Kinda pissed off really as I’m a vegetarian.

I have been to many take aways in my time but this is by far the best, it is a shame they dont deliver though. Love that the food is so tasty and they don't use msg!

Favourite Chinese have tried several in surrounding villages bit always go back here as food Is much nicer. Only down fa is don't deliver

Maybe that's it because the restaurant says it doesn't use MSG in any of its dishes, but my few experiences with the food at Peking House are not exemplary. You can wander into Letchworth and find 3-4 restaurants that have more tasty and higher quality food. If you are in the locality and can't be bothered to travel, then you can do much worse, but if you are prepared to venture out that little bit further, then you can find better. Fundamentally, there is nothing wrong with the food here, but it does leave you a little wanting for something inherently better.

This restaurant was disappointing and stomach-turning. The food was heavy and full of tough meat. If you enjoy that kind of meal, then go ahead, but I ended up throwing mine in the bin again. I gave them another chance, but the food was still terrible. It seems like the restaurant needs a new chef who knows how to properly cook a beef curry. I won't be giving them any more chances.
