We absolutely love this restaurant! The creative drinks are unique and made fresh each time. The menu is straightforward, but the food quality is outstanding. The pizza sauce and pasta sauce have their own distinct flavors, unlike the marinara sauces my mom used to make, giving it a bar-like vibe. Every dinner here is a delightful experience, and the portions are generous enough that we always have leftovers. When we come with friends, they insist on covering the bill, which is a nice bonus!
I visited this restaurant on a Monday with some colleagues, and although there was only one waitress on duty, she did an incredible job. I can’t remember her name, but I want to express my gratitude for her friendliness and attentiveness! The food and drinks were quite good. While the place might seem like a hidden gem, the food was outstanding—especially the fried calamari! I will definitely be returning!
If you're looking for New Haven-style thin crust pizza, this is the place to go. Compared to many Italian restaurants I've visited, they make the best penne alla vodka around. The portion sizes are very generous. There's great entertainment on the weekends, and it's a beautiful place to dine, relax, and enjoy!
When it comes to atmosphere and pizza, Bar excels compared to Antonio's. However, Antonio's is still cheaper, and you can bring your own drinks if you dine in. Another local Italian spot is Old World Pizza, which offers better pizza than both Antonio's and Bar, although their dine-in area only has three tables. It’s more of a takeout place, but you can also bring your own drinks there. I usually get a table there. Overall, it’s a great alternative for excellent pizza without having to drive to New Haven. Their chicken parmesan is outstanding.
