I have eaten here about a dozen times and the food is consistently good. From the appetizers to dessert it is all fresh and tasty. The physical building is impressive. Traditional fish restaurant with a lot of fried fish and a good selection of traditional dishes. Service was good. Inside with a darker older style restaurant with a Portuguese/nautical flair.
Had a late lunch here and would return for dinner sometime. Large and well decorated space. Food was good but not my favorite. Fish was good but too bony and therefore hard to eat.
Mr. Ventura was warm, welcoming, and very helpful as we celebrated a birthday! Food was amazing-we shared everything-seafood, pork, cheese, calamari, soup-authentic Portuguese deliciousness! We will be back very soon-thank you Mr. Ventura! The white port does take you to heaven and back!
Yet again the Ventura has not failed to impress us. From the staff to the owner, the treatment was delightful,I always seem to go to my favorite although other people with me have tried various meals and love them, I am stuck on the Beef A Casa, Even the fries are so good, I can't stop eating them. The place is tastefully decorated for the holidays making it feel more like home with the fireplaces (which I always ask for the same table as I get a wonderful view of fireplaces and all the items on the walls. Staff, well they are just great. Plain and simple, You ask and they are there for you. Tending to anything we need with a smile or chat.
I have been here many times and it's always delicious. Very romantic as well. I would recommend the halibut or the beef a casa
