Contribute FeedbackThe reviews for the restaurant and hotel varied greatly, with some patrons praising the spacious rooms and friendly staff, while others complained of overcooked food and rude door staff. Some felt the atmosphere was welcoming, while others encountered issues with bar service and staff attitudes. Vegan options were noted to be limited, but the Beyond burger was highly recommended. Despite mixed reviews, many found the hotel to be a great spot for a comfortable stay. Ultimately, the experiences ranged from exceptional service and food to disappointing encounters with staff and meal quality.
A warm and welcoming atmosphere. not loud, we called a weekday during school holidays and did not notice children. the staff was very friendly and helpful. no separate vegan menu, no vegan mayonnaise, vegan options clearly marked on the menu. beyond burger was amazeballs. had to pay for BBQ sauce as this was the only vegan sauce that was laid on my burger. not specified 5* due to limited options for vegans. jacket potato/burger /pizza. eating was hot and tasty like. would definitely visit again. updated by previous review on 2021-08-16
The employees at this restaurant seem uninterested and unfriendly. I was recently served by a young man who approached me, pointed, poured my drink, and placed it down without speaking. It feels like the McDonald's of the pub industry.
Visited Wetherspoons for a lunch meal with my partner. Ordered via QR code at the table that was available. Fast service wasn't waiting long. The place was busy. Food was very nice and a cheeky cocktail for after was delicious. Price was reasonable but wish I had stayed longer.. hopefully we be back soon. Love the hot drink offer.. I have visited once before around 8 years ago and still seems the same. Same atmosphere and a nice relaxed afternoon.
Not actually stayed here but had occassion to be in Grimsby and called in for breakfast ...Great staff and lovely food ..miles better than my local spoons .. Defo call again when I'm vack in,town
Me and my partner stayed in one of the rooms here over the weekend and it was lovely. Spacious room and bathroom with large shower (big enough for two. Good size TV mounted on the wall and a comfortable bed. Kettle, milk, sugar, tea coffee were also provided in the room with some little biscuits. We was on the third floor so didn't hear any noise from below and it's literally opposite town center so you have shops food places nearby. My only issue was the feather pillows so annoying and kept waking up with neck ache. All in all, for £56 a night, it was a bargain!
