Had a pleasant evening here with my brother and family It’s not got a classy look and is a bit pub’ish in layout and furniture (which needs replacing) But friendly staff and good pub food The duck was excellent and the fajitas pretty good View all feedback.

This restaurant is a complete rip-off. We paid £42 for 2 gin and tonics, 2 lagers, and 2 fruit shoots. It is seriously overpriced and definitely not worth it. We will not be returning. Save your money and dine elsewhere. It is no surprise that the place was empty, considering how outrageous the prices are.
We ordered a pork cob chips salad at this restaurant. The salad was the highlight of our meal, but it came in a very small, egg cup style container. The chips were good, but the pork cob was terrible. The pork was dry and lacking in quantity, with no additional extras like stuffing or apple sauce. The bread on the cob was also very dry and hard, almost breaking our teeth. I would much rather go to Kenps at Eckington, which is a third of the price. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. The service was very slow and seemed automated.
I made a reservation for an outdoor table, taking advantage of the 50% off food promotion. However, when I arrived, I found that tables were not cleared, there were food and glasses everywhere, and I even witnessed a small child taking food off an empty plate. The service was very poor, as we had to wait 30 minutes for our drinks. This is not the norm for this restaurant, but it seems they were not prepared for the August discount promotion.
Waited ages for food and initial drinks. When food arrived it was of a poor standard. Even though it was half price as part of the eat out campaign, it still wasn’t worth the money. Don’t waste your money, pick somewhere else.
Booked a one night stay for valentines including a candlelit 3 course meal. quick efficent check in, nice big room, if a little dated. not seen artex on a ceiling for some years.had a drink in the wild boar lounge bar with a young pleasant lass behind the bar. this is a 3star hotel so we thought the valentines 3 course meal was half decent if a little rushed, decent bottle of italian white wine for £18 to wash it down with . good power shower in the morning followed by a good full english in the wild boar lounge.found all of the staff to be pleasant and helpful.
