My wife and I dined at this restaurant last night after a planned activity in the area. We had made a reservation the night before and found the person who answered the phone to be friendly. Upon our arrival, we were seated promptly (within 2 minutes) at a nicely decorated, small and intimate table. The food was of good quality and while it was not cheap, it was not the most expensive place we have dined at either. W... View all feedback.

I had a frustrating experience ordering food over the phone at this restaurant. I was transferred to 4 different people and told by 3 of them that butter paneer couldn't be ordered, even though paneer and butter chicken were both on the menu. The 4th person finally confirmed that it could be made. When I went to collect the food, I was informed that the card machine wasn't working, which was not mentioned when I plac... View all feedback.
Very attentive and friendly staff. Food was the best I've tasted outside of India. All 6 of us said it was the best we'd had. Highly recommend.
We had chicken saag and a chicken balti. Bothe were the best we had ever eaten. We sat in the cave too! The service was attentive and friendly. We will return!
Best curry we've had! Went for my birthday, Adam the waiter was so lovely and helpful. Let us eat in the cave, it was a really great experience thank you
I recently dined at Curry's Cottage at Lover Leap, a charming little Indian restaurant. The atmosphere was very pleasant and romantic, although those with poor eyesight may struggle with the dim lighting in certain areas. The service was efficient and quick, although our server lacked friendliness and didn't smile. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were generous, although they were a bit out of proportion - we had to order extra naan and rice to finish our mains. Despite this, the overall experience was very enjoyable and I would definitely return if I find myself in Stoney Middleton again. We ordered a mixed grill as a starter, saag paneer, Dali Gosht, 2 naan, and 2 portions of pulao rice for £41.95.

The 4th person finally confirmed that it could be made. When I went to collect the food, I was informed that the card machine wasn't working, which was not mentioned when I placed my order. When I asked where the nearest cash machine was, they didn't know. The food was disappointing, with bland and flavorless dishes and a high sauce to filling ratio. The naan breads were cold and lacking in filling. In my opinion, the restaurant is overrated. We had to get cash back at a nearby BP garage.
