The chips were terrible. It seemed like the potatoes were spoiled and there were a lot of unpleasant bits. As someone who has worked in a fish and chips shop for years, I was surprised that they were served. Additionally, the oil seemed old and in need of changing.
This chip shop is fantastic. Every now and then, you might receive a subpar meal like at any other restaurant, but most of the time the food is excellent. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews, some people just can't be satisfied.

3rd time of trying was determined to give true feedback. Didn't seem to be interested in serving and when they did they asked me several times what I wanted I was the only one in the shop. but asked by 3 different people. food was not good fish was soggy, had very little taste and a very small portion for a medium. chips were so overcooked and greasy just so disappointed won't bother again. oh and expensive for chips I couldn't eat
Very disappointed. Place is a little grubby and woman who served me was grumpy as hell. Serving chips while pregnant and ready to drop the baby. What would happen if she slipped? Any way arrived home with food and the chips were like bullets and the sausage tasted off. Kids and wife not impressed. First time using this chip shop and certainly the last. It’s 1am in the morning and I am sat on the loo with a upset stomach and ready to throw up. Please avoid this chip shop and cook your own.
