What Jose Mejias doesn't like about Yami’s Puerto Rican Cuisine:
Not a fan of the alcapurrias or the bacalaitos. They were overly greasy. Pork chop was ok, slightly overcooked. The guy that works the cash register has a very abrasive demeanor. Not a very welcoming. View all feedback.
They are permanently closed. Its been like that for a while now. Apparently they are suppose to be opening at another location.
Great place to eat in or take out! Fantastic and very friendly staff. Wonderful dining experience. Beautiful decorated Tropical theme. And can purchase a variety of souvenirs from Puerto Rico. Great Music vibes while watching the games.
The food is delicious. I recommend this place to eat authentic puertorrican food.
I stood around for 15minutes waiting to place an order without even being acknowledged, not even so much as a hello . When my order was finally taken, it seemed like it was a hassle to them. The food was okay, not bad but not worth 32 for 2 jibaritos y arroz, that 's more than in the city! I would rather drive the 40min to Humboldt Park to enjoy better customer service, atmosphere and pay less for the same dishes.
Trash as ****!!! Straight basura! Frozen tostones, maduros and terrible unflavored arroz!
