Great recent experience here! Last time we were here over five years ago. The food seems to be better than I remember. Our fabulous server was Morgan; definitely asked for it again. She made a good culinary experience even better by attentive, friendly, fast! The meat is good; BBQ baked beans and roasted corn are both fantastic sides! Very short on help, service was slow but food came out very quickly. Excellent taste but very small portions for the money. Theu place a piece of bread under the pulled pork to make it look like there's more than there really is. View all feedback.
When I did sit down, I was served by Matthew, who was truly wonderful—patient and friendly. He allowed me to peruse the menu at my leisure. On that note, Trent, you witnessed how I was trying to communicate and even indicated that I wanted to sit down, yet your response left me feeling dismissed. Moreover, I observed Trent acting a bit harshly towards another employee, which felt inappropriate. It made me wonder about his attitude. That employee, however, seemed to defend Trent, which I found surprising. As for the food, with the exception of the cornbread, nothing was particularly good or edible. I was disappointed to find out they didn’t have the brisket that I was hoping to try, and the appetizer I ordered arrived missing some items. Reflecting on previous experiences, I remembered a charismatic young man who used to work there—he would greet customers with genuine warmth and friendliness. It was a delight to be served by someone who engaged with us on a personal level, but sadly, when we returned one day, he was gone. Yet, we can always find something to be grateful for, like the cornbread! Humor is essential; if we can't laugh about small mishaps, how will we handle larger challenges? I’ve faced plenty since returning to the States. So, Trent, I forgive you, and I hope we can have a better interaction next time—maybe in a few years.
I had a wonderful recent experience at this restaurant! It had been over five years since my last visit, and the food seems even better than I remembered. Our amazing server, Morgan, definitely made our experience memorable—she was attentive, friendly, and quick! The meat was delicious, and the BBQ baked beans and roasted corn were fantastic side dishes. The Brunswick stew was also delightful, with just a hint of sweetness that enhanced the flavor. My only wish is that it could be served a bit warmer than lukewarm. Nevertheless, we will definitely be returning soon!
We ordered the Korean pig bell pops and the combo plate with baby back and St. Louis ribs. The pig pops were out of this world, and the ribs were perfectly smoked, juicy, and packed with flavor. We also indulged in their homemade doughnuts, which were simply to die for. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, even offering us extra lemon water to go, and the restrooms were clean. I truly wish there were places like this in the California Bay Area. We do have some decent BBQ spots, but they just don’t compare to what we had here, and they’d likely charge us twice as much for the portions! It was a delightful treat before our flight back to California!
Ruthie was our waitress and she was fantastic! Kept our drinks filled and we never ran out! The food was amazing! It is worth trying this place and we will be back!
