La Hacienda Mexican - North Charleston

Arrived about 7:30pm on a Friday night. Party of 4 seated immediately. The menu is a little different from traditional Mexican restaurants but excellent selection. The food arrived quickly and hot. Everything was good but I do like my chips with a little more salt. Our waitress,Marisol was excellent. Would recommend.

Quite disappointed in the service here. Our waiter was sitting on a bar stool checking his phone while we waited to be served. When we finally got seated it was another 15 minutes to get the menus. When we finally got our food our waiter went MIA and not to be seen again until we asked for the bill. The restaurant wasn't busy. Food was not exciting but could have been excused if the service was good. All in all I wish I had a better rating but fix the service please.

The food was quite good, but the service was terrible! Nobody in the restaurant spoke fluent English, making it difficult to address any issues. I dine at many places around the world and have encountered a standard 15% gratuity added to individual bills (for three people separately). However, this policy wasn't mentioned on the menu or displayed anywhere in the restaurant! When I requested to speak with the manager, the waitress simply shrugged and said she was busy, despite there only being ten people in the establishment.

Fantastic Restaurant with Wonderful Staff! From the moment we arrived until we left, the customer service was outstanding! We both enjoyed the steak quesadilla, accompanied by rice and refried beans, as well as some fried jalapeños that had a truly unique flavor. This is definitely a place we will return to... Highly recommended!

The street corn was served cold, and when I mentioned it to the server, she didn't offer to replace it. Instead, she gave me an excuse, claiming that the rice tasted off because they use the top part of the rice—what? I was at a loss for words! There were even a few flies buzzing around our table. At one point, the man sitting across from us became so impatient waiting for his order that he walked out before his food arrived. This place really seems to need new management and a serious overhaul of the kitchen staff and their standards.
