My new favorite place for tacos. I had tacos de carne asada and tacos al pastor. The meats were very tender and had great flavor. Served on homemade tortillas! The red salsa is my favorite. Make sure to order horchata to drink. The restaurant itself isnt fancy looking, or very appealing, but it's the food that comes out of the kitchen that counts! Can't wait to go back! What User doesn't like about El Rey Del Taco:
Slow service, more expensive than other places nearby, charged me for a water, then I had to correct them from overcharging me for everything. Las lupitas across the street is way better! View all feedback.
I had a poor experience at this restaurant. When I arrived, I wasn't served at all, and the waitstaff gave me unfriendly looks.
The staff was very rude. I was hung up on because I don’t speak Spanish.
The restaurant was more visually appealing than it was in terms of taste, and I found it quite overpriced. There were no beer or alcoholic drinks available. The waitress's attitude was a bit rude, and the drinks were $5 each for a refill, which I found excessive. I spent $90 on two lunch dishes, and the ceviche-style dish was just shrimp and cucumber—raw, which I did not enjoy. Overall, I'm disappointed and won't be returning.
The service was quite disappointing, and the food didn't taste very good. I won't be returning. As you can see, I had to remove all the fat from my quesadilla.
The restaurant looked nicer than it tasted, and it was quite overpriced. There were no beer or alcoholic drink options, and the waitress was a bit rude. Refills on drinks cost $5 each, which I found ridiculous. I ended up spending $90 on two lunch dishes, and the ceviche-like dish I ordered was just shrimp and cucumber—very disappointing and raw. Overall, I won't be returning here.
