Shale Brewing Company - North Canton

We visited on a Wednesday evening. The place wasn’t too crowded, and the ambiance was pleasant. We ordered the pretzel as an appetizer; it was a bit hard and cold, but the dips were fantastic. I just wish the pretzel had been fresher. On the bright side, the beers were excellent, and our main courses were delicious. I had the rice bowl with pineapple and chicken, while my wife chose the caprese panini. Both meals were outstanding! I highly recommend stopping by to support this local brewery!

The atmosphere is really awesome, with a modern industrial brewery vibe. The beer was delicious, and although I didn't have any food, it smelled fantastic. I’ll definitely return to try the menu!

Shale has really declined recently. The beer hasn't been good during my last few visits. The last time I was there, the beer tasted very sour and unpleasant, and everyone in my group felt the same about their drinks. We ended up leaving after just one round. They've also removed some of the best food items from the menu and haven’t replaced them with anything comparable. I highly recommend heading four minutes up the road to Codex for some great beer instead.

Great beer and sooo much fun. There are all kinds of fun games like shuffle board and foosball, but they really need an age restriction after a certain time of night. Some mom with a 12 year old kid was VERY upset to see a few young people drinking and having fun around her kid and kind of ruined our whole experience. We've gone a few times with no problem, but at 10:30 on a Friday night there should definitely not be little kids who can't be around drinking... it is a brewery. Definitely do not bring your kids late at night if you don't want to be around adults

Good atmosphere and great cocktails. Very attentive staff (not bothersome) and unfortunately my group had already eaten before coming, so we just got appetizers. They were priced reasonable and were good. I can’t wait to return to try the food items they looked good.
