We had a great time in a big group of 20. Really helpful staff who taught those who haven't played before. Yummy food and drinks. Really nice for a Sunday afternoon chill-out session. View all feedback.

Aidan Reynolds the General Manager said that we were the first company to call he would confirm the Verandah for 70 people . We communicated this to our business. After numerous unanswered calls emails with 4 weeks to go. we finally got on to a very rude lady claiming to be the events person, simply said if your name is not on MY list you haven 't paid your deposit, bad luck not my problem. Because Aidan Reynolds is leaving the club and I was sick for 5 weeks when you called the club . This lady provided no solution or alternative was rude, disrespectful, the level of dismissal was obnoxious disgusting Any one reading this review should steer clear!!
Had my 50th here a few weeks ago for about 60 guests. I really love the retro décor and relaxed atmosphere of this place including the fire places and plants everywhere. Lots of friends commented on what a great venue it is. Overseas family were able to be projected on a big screen and so participate in the speeches. Staff were kind, helpful and committed to ensuring the night went well, both prior the event and on the night . Typical pub finger food was great for the occasion and easy to order online. We could play our own Spotify music lists but bringing a DJ was an option too, lots of options. Can't wait to come back!
Love this place, looks so small from the outside but so open inside. The barstaff are so friendly, great tap beer and the best wedges I've ever had. Food is really great cheap and worth it. This is a hidden gem of Bondi
Booked this venue thinking it would be family friendly. We had a group that included 9 children under 5 years old. The staff were what can only be described as a disgrace, threatening children as young as 1 year old with being removed from the venue if they didn't comply with club rules (they walked onto the bowling green). The staff were completely over the top in trying to exercise heavy handed control, they were unable to control their emotions and had no appreciation of common sense which made reasoning with them difficult. I witnessed a group of 4 security staff removing one of my guests forcibly whilst holding onto his 1yo child, and another guest being told to leave and pushed out of the venue as he tried to secure his baby in a pram. At one point two security staff tried to remove our group of 30 without any explanation, before being told by their manager to stand down. As expected, this threatening and aggressive behaviour was distressing to the numerous other guests, including children and pregnant women. I would strongly recommend that this venue takes immediate action to ensure their staff has adequate training to ensure the venue is family friendly in future.
