So, I was surprised to see upon dining there yesterday... read more We used to love NBD for brunch. Extensive menu and it didn't matter what you ordered, it was all lovely. So, I was surprised to see upon dining there yesterday they have cut their menu in half. Reviews of the Eggs Benny and NBD Big Breakfast were good. The Breaky Burger looked un appetizing but tasted okay. Two of us ordered the hot cakes and struggled through them. You couldn't see the hotcakes as they were drowned underneath a wattle seed cream. We didn't receive our coffees until after we had finished breakfast which was a 40min wait (this wasn't an issue for the food, but a long time to wait for a coffee) it appeared they were more focused on dishing out take away coffees than serving the diners inside. I then learned there was a recent change of ownership so that explains a lot. What a shame, especially given their amazing view of the coastline.

However , with the change of ownership the price of coffee has gone up remarkably in 1 week from $5.80 for a large lactose free flat white to $7 . Might have to rethink about where we get our post walk coffee from now on

Booked in advance, just as well as it is very popular. We all had fruit drinks for starters, they were amazing!We tried the lot: squid, fritters and breaky tacos (with haloumi). Delish! Highly recommended but book first.
