What BirregurraBoy doesn't like about Sato:
Food is OK, but they struggle with Vegetarians/Pescatarians. Ambience is limited by layout and extremely bright lighting. Service was poor for me. I close the banquet, but never for desert as they all hung around talking at the counter. I gave up in the end. Go to Yakitori up the road for a much better experience. View all feedback. What Alison W likes about Sato:
Only a small restaurant, with short booking times, but great food. Very authentic. Well priced, friendly staff. Happy to accommodate a pram, although only very small bathrooms. View all feedback.

read moreSato, located on Melbourne Street in North Adelaide, offers a unique dining experience with both Japanese and western seating options. While some reviewers noted long wait times and small portions for the price, others praised the pleasant and helpful staff, as well as the delicious food. The menu includes a variety of Japanese dishes such as sashimi, tempura, gyoza, and katsu, all of which received favorable reviews. The restaurant is cozy and family-friendly, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Overall, Sato seems to be a mixed bag with some room for improvement in terms of service efficiency and portion sizes, but worth a visit for those craving authentic Japanese cuisine in a warm and inviting setting.
