If you haven't dined here yet, you're missing out! The food is incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. There's something for everyone, so even if you're the only vegan in your group, you won't have to compromise on taste. Hannah, the owner, is very friendly and provides excellent customer service. My go-to dishes are the sweet chili vegan clucker and the loaded falafel fries. I also tried their lentil soup today, and it was delightful with just the right texture. As someone who's been vegan/vegetarian for over 15 years, Boon Cafe is one of my favorite local spots to support. I can't recommend it highly enough!
Extremely nice lady met us and seated me and my friends and the Mac and cheese was nice
Very tasty and very healthy food. The menu is extensive. The restaurant is a strip mall storefront so not much ambiance but who cares with this food. The service is very good. An excellent choice for delivery or takeaway as well as dining in.
Wow. Just wow. We stumbled upon Boone Cafe while searching for a restaurant near Rosemont that could accommodate our big family’s mix of diets—vegan, vegetarian, and meat eaters alike—and let me tell you, this place exceeded all expectations! Finding a restaurant that pleases everyone is always a challenge, and throw in two toddlers? Almost impossible. But Boone Cafe delivered flawlessly! The service was incredible, warm, and welcoming. The menu has everything, which can sometimes be a red flag, but here? Everything was outstanding. We ordered a ton of dishes and shared family-style, and every single bite was perfection. Let’s talk about the falafel bites—the best I’ve had anywhere in the U.S. and the closest thing I’ve had to what I tasted in the Middle East. Crispy, moist, and bursting with flavor. We originally ordered eight, but they disappeared so fast we had to order another round! And their house sauce? Mind-blowing. The vegan kefta plate was another standout—perfectly seasoned kefta with a mountain of fresh, flavorful veggies. The mezza platter was phenomenal: fresh hummus, a huge salad, and an absolutely incredible mjadara—a delicious rice dish with caramelized onions and lentils that we couldn’t stop eating. Holy cow, was it good. Even the kids devoured their mac cheese and seasoned fries, and the curly fries? Some of the best we’ve ever had—crispy, perfectly seasoned, and addictively good. This isn’t just another overpriced, pretty-plate restaurant with no flavor. This is real, home-cooked food made with love. The owner even came out to thank us, but honestly, we should have been the ones thanking him. Boone Cafe is officially our new go-to family restaurant. No more big-box disappointments—this is flavor, heart, and hospitality at its finest. Run, don’t walk, to Boone Cafe. Absolute must-try.
I can't say enough good things about Boon Cafe. Not only is the food diverse and delicious, but the owners are incredibly kind and gracious I first visited a couple years ago while in town for a concert and looking for a place that my plant-based eating friend could have more than just French fries. We were impressed first by the menu inclusivity and flavor of the food but it was the warmth of the owners that really left the biggest mark. They made an effort to come out and thank us for dining at their restaurant so sincerely and chatted with us as if we were long-time friends. We felt so welcome and comfortable that when I was in town again for another concert maybe 6 months later it was an easy choice to go again. We were shocked that the owners recognized us and asked us if we were in town for a concert. They thanked us for bringing more of our friends along to enjoy the food. Such a small unexpected gesture but it really showed their sincerity. Every time we go back we're all able to get something different and everything we've had we've loved. The owners told us that their mission was to make a place where everyone could find something to eat on their menu and they have hit the mark. Vegetarian options: There are so many diverse Vegan options. Dietary restrictions: A great place to eat for any dietary restrictions. They are very considerate and label their menu clearly. Parking: Not many parking spots in the small lot in front of the restaurant, but usually isn't an issue and the one time we had to park in the street it was no big deal and easy to do.
