The food is a solid 4.5...but you throw in the ambiance and the exceptional personal service from the owner and his staff and Misal is an easy 5.0. My wife and I had our first date here in 1999 and have returned multiple times per year since and it is still as great as the first time. View all feedback.

I ordered the Samosa's for starter not bad, but then the main course came they were a plate of Chicken Korma short, which turned out to be a good thing the Korma is the worst I have ever had, chicken was dry, the rice was under cooled and not seasoned, I have eaten Korma's from many middle eastern countries and this was not creamy, it tasted awful, I had 3 bites and left the rest, told management about it and received nothing off management would not even come to the table. As a foodie I would not recommend this place go somewhere else or save your Money. This place is ****.

I hate writing this because I grew up in Norman and this was one of my favorite places. Maybe it's because I've had Indian food in many other places since I've eaten here or maybe it's just not the same. The lack of spice, overcooked chicken and naan, and the fact I got my check before I got a refill on my water was too much. Too many good places to eat around the metro area to waste money on this.
I had been to this place multiple times during my couple of long stays in Norman Oklahoma. You will not get much indian food options like other part of USA in OU state. This restaurant serves decent Indian food. But not extraordinary. Good ambience. Restaurant owner has done excellent job to make perfect ambience for indian dine. Butter chicken, tandoori, dal rice and samosas are worth to try. Quick service. Helpful staff. In short do not hesitate to try if you are hungry for indian blend. Delivery not available. Take away available.
Torn on this place. The food is demonstratively good. I have had any number of memorable meals here. They have some unique items including the rose water tea and the coconut ice desert served in a coconut shell. The individual entrées are excellent - each and every one. Now for the bad stuff - and I realize that quite a bit of it is attributable to me. They offer a very small buffet at lunchtime and none at dinner. While good it offers only a sliver of their dishes at any time with several of the slots taken up by the same dishes every day (removing the Tandoori Chicken for instance would probably cause mutiny). I, on the other hand, have come to really like the options available from the large assortment of dishes at buffets across OKC. Technically each buffet dish may be a bit inferior to Misal's individual dishes. However, the totality of the experience has me succumbing to the siren song of the dozen or more dishes I can play with at each meal and the progression of the selections at each buffet over time. Thus, while I love Misal's food, I find myself eating elsewhere more often. For this reason I find myself almost apologizing for not eating at Misal's as often because of their mastery of the cuisine. So if you want a sampling experience head to a buffet. If you want to explore an individual dish by all means come here.
