While the atmosphere was cozy and the server extremely friendly, we found the spaghetti to be a bit too acidic for our taste. What User doesn't like about Whistle Stop Cafe:
Although the atmosphere is cozy and the server very sweet, the spaghetti was a bit acidy for us. What bothered me, though, was she began vacuuming with a super loud vacuum around 3pm. We couldn't hear each other when we wanted to talk. Sometime we will give it another try. Maybe they just vacuum around 3pm. We will go earlier or later. View all feedback.
The café has a cozy atmosphere that feels inviting. While the food is average, the prices are very reasonable.
This was our first visit, and we had a great experience. The waitstaff was quick, attentive, and friendly—what more could you ask for? The menu offered a good variety, all at reasonable prices. The atmosphere was pleasant, and everything appeared clean. We definitely plan to return!
There's a charming little place in Norlina, NC, where you can enjoy delicious home-cooked meals in a family-friendly atmosphere. The Whistle Stop Cafe is a true gem, offering a relaxed atmosphere and mouthwatering food that you should definitely check out if you're in the area.
I visited the Whistle Stop Café in Norlina a few weeks ago on a Tuesday night, and the food was good, and everything went smoothly. However, my experience on Friday, September 5 was quite disappointing. It took 15 minutes for anyone to attend to us, and after we had to ask for our drinks, it took another 30 minutes to receive them. The service was really lacking. It seems that if you enter and go to the right side of the café, you get attended to more quickly. The waitstaff appeared scattered and overwhelmed, rather than managing their own sections effectively. Additionally, the menu changes frequently, so if you’re hoping for a specific dish from a previous visit, it’s best to call ahead. They definitely need more staff and better management; perhaps they could benefit from some advice from the show "Restaurant Impossible."
The food was delicious, as always. The service was excellent, and everyone was very friendly!
