Kappo Nara Ramen - Norfolk

Less than 40 hours ago, my husband and I decided to order food from Kappo Nara Ramen in the Ghent quarter of Norfolk, Virginia. My husband chose the katsu curry dish with pork and rice, while I opted for the curo black tonkotsu ramen with basic pork. We enjoyed our meals and were pleased with the pick-up/carry-out option for receiving our dishes.

This is a lovely little restaurant. The staff were very polite and went out of their way to accommodate allergy information for one member of our group. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed the diverse ethnic dishes we tried.

On a rainy day during our vacation, my partner and I made the decision to try out this restaurant, and we were very impressed! Our server/hostess was very hardworking and despite being busy, the service was exceptional and quick and friendly. We tried the takoyaki, oshinko, and the yellowtail jaw, which was our favorite dish. We also had the house ramen and tonkotsu ramen, both of which were delicious. Kudos to Kappo for a great dining experience!

The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. They even taught me a special way to mix a sauce and recommended where to purchase the ingredients and which brands to use so I could recreate it at home. I absolutely adore this restaurant.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! I usually like their service, but today it was exceptional! We purchased two extra bottles of Sake to go and savored a bottle of Plume wine at our table. The RED BEAN MOCHI was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be returning. I loved the meal and the service overall.
