had a good knowledge about veggie and vegan. I had fresh spring rolls and I was riding early rolls. I had a little comfort food in her kartoffels that were tasty but a little bit small. there are no pure veg options in this small town, but that was a good place to eat. I also had a tasty chocolateshake. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mama Lao:
the food was delicious, but I ordered the fried bambus and got fried bambus with a steamed rice and after the demand for it 3 times, while my other dish was cold, I was told that she was not steamed rice, so I got sticky rice, which was apparently cooked before this day. the girl (daughter? our commands and brought us our eating was incredibly rude all the time, trying to order us quickly so that she could go back to... We decided to go to mama Lao's after reading some great reviews. There are quite a few vegan options and everything we ordered was delicious and so cheap. Our meal was the best we had in Nong Khiaw so we decided to go back the next night and it was just as delicious. The restaurant is in the front of her house and the whole meal is cooked by Mama Lao so may take a bit of time if busy but is worth the wait. Mama Lao is lovely!! She is able to speak some English. We highly recommend. We would definitely give this restaurant a 5 star but as it serves meat we are only able to give it 4 star (under happycows conditions)
Family owned, extremely cheap restaurant with one of the best Lao dishes! You need to write your order on a sheet but almost every dish is listed separately as a basic meal, with egg and with egg and meat. For everyone who is wondering why It got only 4 stars: 4 is max for a non vegetarian restaurant. :

I'm not complaining about one of those sluts because they probably wouldn't understand anyway.
I had a quick lunch before I left on a boat. Food was good. Many vegan and vegetarian options. Friendly woman serving. Inexpensive.
