The first time I tried the Husky Rice, the shrimp, beef, and chicken were fresh and perfectly cooked. However, during my second visit, I was disappointed. The lone shrimp was old and rubbery, the beef was chopped into tiny, jerky-like pieces, and it had a similar off taste to the chicken, which reminded me of something that had been stored in the refrigerator for too long. I felt cheated, and even the rice didn't taste right. I can't pinpoint the exact issue, but it had the flavor of poor-quality cooking oil, and it likely was. To make matters worse, I received even less rice this time, yet I still paid the same dinner price. I ended up spending over $26 for the rice and six tiny Japanese dumplings, which felt like the last straw for me. I don't eat sushi, which is also offered here, and I wouldn't recommend it; it feels like taking a gamble with your stomach. That's all I’m saying—it's a risk.

One of my favorite sushi spots! We ordered sweet and sour pork with white rice, as well as a Tiger roll. The sushi was incredibly fresh. They really know how to prepare Chinese and Japanese dishes—great job! I will definitely be coming back!

I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the rolls were. It was a quiet Monday night, and since I arrived a little late (around 8:30), I had the whole place to myself. I tried the California roll variations—one topped with tuna and the other with eel. I appreciated that they were cautious about giving extra ginger, as I understand the need to avoid waste. Although the crab was actually surimi, I still enjoyed it quite a bit. While it may not be on par with Ronnie's, it's about as good as you can find in Nome. I found it better than Bering Sea, as the portions seemed more generous and the service felt more genuine.

I was pretty disappointed with this restaurant. For starters, the menu is huge, too huge. The restaurant was clean, but not really that inviting in terms of decor and atmosphere. I got the golden shrimp. It was alright, but nothing special. My friend got the tempura vegetable, however, it was basically all tempura and no vegetables. The golden shrimp came mostly with onions and some broccoli stalks (basically no florets). The flavor on it was alright, but I definitely won't be returning. The woman working doesn't have the best English, which is fine if you do not have too many questions. The main thing that irritated me was that after she brought our food, she never came back. She didn't offer any refills or come to check on us. She just sat at a booth on her phone. We figured out finally that we should just go pay up front and leave. Nothing was awful about this restaurant, but also nothing stood out about it either. There are better places to spend money on in Nome, and plenty more Asian restaurants.

Their spicy chicken is delicious as is the chili mayo on their crunch rolls. The prices are more affordable during the lunch hour and can get expensive for dinner. Their sushi rolls are smaller than the other restaurant that serves them in town. I like their tempura vegtables, they are very tasty. The teriyaki burger is also pretty good.
