Went in with extreme kidney stone pain. I figured it was a kidney stone, as did they, but they made sure to do everything they could before diagnosing it as that. I was only in the waiting room 5 min before being taken back. Seen immediately the nurse came in, within a few min the PA came in. No argument on pain meds, everything was explained in grace detail to me, and the discharge process was as easy as it could be... View all feedback.
What Brenda Stratton doesn't like about Riverview Health:
I went to the ER because I thought I'd pulled my shoulder out, I was having severe pain and my arm and neck were going numb. The ER wasn't busy at all it took 30 mins for a nurse to come in briefly feel my neck and shoulder and said I just pulled a muscle and sent me on my way. Well that didn't help I went to Saint Vincent and I had actually fractured my neck in 3 places! Not only did I not see an actual doctor at Ri... View all feedback.
I had been trying to get to the hospital for myself for over a week because of a ganglion cyst on my wrist bursting, and every bit of whatever was in it was cycling through my body and I wasn 't feeling feel well since it happened. But I have no money and no help right now and I still have California insurance. Well my daughter got sick and lost her voice, so I was finally able to get a ride from a neighbor to the hospital, so I checked us both in. This was late at night and they were not at all busy. It was obvious what was wrong with my babygirl, so I didn 't have to explain much for her. The nurses were great and helpful and checking in was easy and we didn 't have to wait very long at all. However, the doctor was one of the rudest people I 've ever spoken with and she didn 't listen to what I was saying. She literally cut me off and walked right out of the room while I was in the middle of explaining my symptoms. She said Well I don 't think that has anything to do with that, you need to see our hand lady. And just walked away and sent a nurse in to hand me my papers and tell me about my daughter 's prescription and gave me instructions on calling to get in with the hand lady in a couple of days. I 'm still feeling sick and this thing is still bothering me and keeps coming back. But I can 't even get a ride to go back right now. The prescription helped my baby girl, so I 'm grateful for that. But I still need medical attention, and not just for my hand. But she didn 't even give me a chance to finish explaining my symptoms before basically trying to tell me that I 'm stupid for thinking that the infection is coursing through my body... well it sure didn 't leave my body... so where else would it have gone? ?

I took my daughter to Riverview Westfield on the 4th of July. The receptionist/intake person, Brittany, was one of the most polite and upbeat person I have ever experienced at this hospital. Go Brittany and I hope hospital admin get this and let her know she is making a positive difference for others!

I dealt with nasty Nat aka Natalie R. Richards PA. Came to this poorly run hospital around 10:30p on June 15. Someone escorted me back to the ER, asked for urine prior to escorting me to my room and proceeded to tell me the nurse would be in shortly. They didn’t have a single patient in the ER. 9+ staff (LPNs PAs) hanging out in a circle chatting it up about previous experiences with unruly patients along with discussing their personal lives. I had severe back pain and a possible infection. 20min later, someone comes in and tells me my urine is clear. Doesn’t check vitals, doesn’t ask me any questions. “I” ask this specific person (because she didn’t even introduce herself) if it could be this, or that. She tells me she “doesn’t know”. Tells me I could have an STI. Uhm mam, I’m here in the ER, with my husband on the phone, no possible STI and I am in pain! Proceeded to discharge me while I’m asking for help and asking for information to file a formal complaint. I went to Saxony and within 30min, they tell me I have a bladder infection. They discharge me on 3 different medications. I dealt with Natalie R. Richards, PA. Unbelievable.
