In fact, we enjoyed food at Skab better than 2-Michelin starred Alma in Lisbon, which was our prior Michelin-starred restaurant experience (almost exactly a year prior). We had the Menu Plaisir. Highly recommended! It was also a nice gesture that the chef-owner Damien Sanchez took the time to visit all the tables and make sure that all his guests were satisfied.

I was amazed by the quality of every dish, and the level of craftsmanship that goes into each dish was beyond amazing. The service was absolutely five star as well: every server in a suit, high level of attention to detail, superb wine pairings and serene atmosphere. We ate for nearly 4 hours without interruption! However, in my opinion, the service was not up to par for an establishment like this: limited knowledge regarding possible adjustments to the dishes dietary restrictions), drinks service which was not always very meticulous red wine/water stains on the tablecloth), quite urgent we had to signal them to wait between two courses).
