Tita Mia's Filipino Cafe - Niles

The website stated that the restaurant opened at 10:00am, but when I arrived, it was closed with a sign on the door indicating an 11:00am opening time. I placed my order and waited a bit longer than expected (over 30 minutes), but the staff was friendly and the food was fresh and satisfying. Overall, the wait was worth it, and the halo halo dessert was especially great!

I had a fantastic lunch. The sisig and lechon kawali were delicious. The halo halo was massive! I definitely recommend sharing it with a friend. I can't wait to go back!

What a delightful dining experience! Our server was very attentive, the food was delicious and authentic, and the portion sizes were generous for the prices. The pastries were not only delicious but also amusing and cute when they were first brought out. The decor was unique and sparked interesting conversations. We spent about $70 for two people, but we ended up with enough leftovers for at least four more meals (especially if the portions are on the smaller side). We drove an hour to get here, but we are already planning to come back as soon as possible!

I've been here a few times and I understand that sometimes service is slow, but this was something else. Our server took our order and never came back. I went up to him and asked about our food and if we could get refills. He said he'd come by, but never came back again. I saw him help other tables and work the cashier, but he never got close to our table again. I also counted 4 tables around us that sat down and got food before we did. The food runner was nice enough to basically take over and we gave him some extra money for being so nice, but I don't want to come back. We drove in from the city and it took 2 hours to get lunch. It'd be different if the whole restaurant was slow, but clearly that wasn't the case here. It's too bad because I really like the food and the bakery.
