My favorite is the bangus in olive oil. Their rosemary chicken also in olive oil and dinuguan are also awesome. They have generous servings considering the price. For example, the rosemary chicken comes in quarters, and the bangus is a medium sized whole and it 's boneless. And they come with rice for about P100. Down home goodness in Makati can 't get any better than that.
Hey guys! Its a wonderful expirienced to be in Lolas Best Restaurant, their foods are truly delicious and amazing!!
Good food and ambiance . However, parking is a problem.
I've been to Lola's best a couple of times for a meeting and I also had the pleasure of meeting its friendly and wonderful proprietors. I'm not giving this rating because they were super nice to me but because I genuinely enjoyed the Filipino food that they served. Honestly, if you didn't work in this building or nearby, you would have never thought of going there for lunch, merienda, or dinner. Given the chance, I would probably call this joint an upgraded carinderia or eatery. The service staff are nice and friendly, there is wifi, and the ambiance is decent and comfortable. Food is well-prepared and their prices are good value for your money. When you sample their dishes, you would probably be surprised at how well they do the Filipino dishes. The owners told me that a lot of their dishes are recipes and specialties of, no brainer, their Lolas. Try their Bangus Sardines, Home-made Laing, Crispy Chicharon, Tilapia, and my personal favorite, the Palabok! You can also have group dinners or small gatherings here and arrange for a private function. The place is cozy enough to host a small party or an intimate Filipino-style family gathering.
Finding a restaurant that offers affordable home-style Filipino meals within Makati CBD can be a challenge, especially if you don't want to risk having gastritis or other food-borne diseases. But more than a clean Filipino carinderia, the possibility of stumbling on one that boasts delicious meals, air-conditioned interior, and free Wi-Fi may as well be an impossible dream. Well, that's before I discovered Lola's Best. If you work along Makati Avenue-Jupiter Street area, just head to Executive Building Center and you will find this pinoy cafeteria treasure. The signage is anything but unnoticeable. It's a self-service eating place like your local carinderia but with all the amenities. This can be very important especially during summer. Inside, old wall pictures of grandparents and the fixtures will surely bring nostalgia in you. I couldn't help but think of home as I munched on the menudo and bangus sardines. You will find meat, fish, and vegetable meals. Desserts are classic favorites too. All at pocket-friendly rates. Just don't expect hotel quality food and lush seats. Lola's Best also offers delivery, catering and dinner buffet services.
