We had a pleasant curry here. It was quiet but it was midday in January. Good sized portions. Staff were attentive. Pity there were no papadoms. I had the restaurants king prawn speciality.
Restaurant is located on a small side street near the train station. Food was very well done and the spices seemed very authentic. Prices were reasonable. If you're looking for good Indian food in your near the train station this would be a good choice.
We were quite surprised by the excellent and fast service as well as the good quality of the food. When ordered take-away food, the Manager was very helpful and provided all the necessary plastic plates and accessories (as we were staying in hotel ...).
Honestly one of my worst ever restaurant experiences. Initially promising as the place is freshly decorated and comfortable - 1 star for that. Some people have described the food as too mild; that was generous as my mutar paneer was utterly tasteless and whatever the cheese was, it wasn't paneer, as it had melted to a goo, coating a few frozen peas. The much-heralded cheese nan was just ok. However, the worst thing was the service. Now, I don't like over-attentive service but there is somewhere between that and scowling indifference. And at one point the entire staff disappeared outside for a smoke break, leaving the door open so my friend and I got kippered, while they ignored us for half an hour. To cap it off, the price is on the high side so there is nothing to commend the place.
