Before choosing where to spend our afternoon, we walked along the Promenade des Anglais, comparing menus, prices and the overall atmosphere of each beach restaurant. The clear winner was Ruhl Plage and it truly exceeded all expectations! The cuisine is delicious, beautifully presented and full of authentic Mediterranean flavors. The reception and table service were impeccable, with every detail handled gracefully and professionally. The tables are prepared to a true 5-star standard, everything was spotless and the staff makes you feel genuinely welcome. After lunch, we relaxed on the comfortable sunbeds, enjoying the view of the sea and the elegant energy of the Promenade. It’s the perfect spot for anyone seeking a unique experience between the sea and the city — elegant, peaceful and unforgettable. We arrived at 10am on a Wednesday in July, where it was fully booked. However, the 2 people in front of us were French and they both had bookings? Not fair at all. We decided to come to the restaurant for lunch, where the waiter was extremely rude and rolled her eyes at us when we said we just wanted snacks there. Which they had previously said it’s fine) FYI- if you’re visiting in the summer, get there at 9am otherwise you are not getting a bed! Or if you’re English!

It’s not possible to book in advance and there was a long queue already before 9:00 AM but we got easily our sun beds, towels and umbrellas. We had lunch there too, portions very generous, prices as expected a bit higher for some drinks or food but there’s plenty of choices. Food we ate was very tasty. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. If you want to leave and come back, just leave something on you towel on the sun beds or they will assume you are gone and resell you spot. All in all a good experience.
