We were lured in by the offer of free champagne and we are so happy we were! The duck breast was amazing! My daughter loved the cheese gnocchi and the steak special was excellent. Plus the service was top notch! We fed 5 adults with 3 cocktails for a total of €107. Such a great value. View all feedback.
What Linda B doesn't like about Paradice:
Should 've checked the reviews first, that was our mistake. First off, the service and attitude from the waiters were horrible. Simply just rude. Food was below average. They brought out bread but no butter. We ordered sardines as our starter and two entrees. They brought everything out all at once. We were surprised and made a comment. The server said did you request it as a starter? Umm really? It 's on the menu as... View all feedback.
Food was average but service was one of the worst I have ever came across. Spent 1 hour waiting for the beef tartar and another hour on my salmon ravioli. Was a horrible experience.
Excellent dinin by the sea. We had escargots, sea bass and swordfish. All were very good. I'm surprised there are nit more reviews! Weekends are busy but staff is very friendly. Plan to have a nice relaxing dining experience. This is not a rush through meal.
We did not eat there so I can not review the food but what I can review is the behavior of the waiter, super rude! We found a table for two and decided to sit there and with Covid situation I tried to pull the table a little bit further from the other one next to us, as it was like 30 cm close. The waiter came and pushed the table back furious, claiming I couldn't do that because that way he would have no space to walk through! Apparently Covid distancing was not an issue for this place thus we decided to go somewhere else.
The food was decent but the service was horrible. First, my bf ordered a mojito but they said they were out of mint. He ordered a different drink instead. Our server comes back and says they actually do have mint but dropped off the second choice drink instead. She asked if we wanted both. We didn 't want both, she could have made the mojito instead but oh well. What really annoyed us was the service. Our server cleared our plates and I asked for the check. My boyfriend and I sat there waiting and it looked like our server was busy helping everyone else. We even tried to grab her attention again but she never made eye contact. We asked the other guy server for the check and it looked like he ignored us. So we asked him again and he said he heard us and he told the girl server, since he 's not our server he can 't get the check. So we waited again. At this point we were annoyed and waved down the girl server and asked for the check again. She said you are suppose to ask for the check and I explained how I asked her and the guy server but it never came. She then asked, cash or card? We said cash because we just wanted to get out of there. She finally came with the check, it probably took over 40 mins after she cleared our table. The total on the bill said $40.50 but she explained how the alcohol drink was not included. So the real total is $50.50. I didn 't understand why the alcoholic drink was not included in the total price of the bill. It makes me think she would pocket the extra $10.
Yum. We had dinner here after passing by on our way back to the hotel this afternoon. We made reservations for 7:30pm, which by French standards was early and so didn't really need reservations. What caught our attention were all the lunch patrons having the seafood platters! We got a table outside, and had a bottle of white wine to start. We ordered the plateau royal, which consisted of clams, oysters, shrimp, whelks, snails and lobster. The server said that's probably enough food, and suggested waiting before ordering dinner. Wow! The plateau came out with sparklers!! What an experience. It took us awhile to get through all of the seafood... We decided on getting some dinner after going through the platter. My husband got the Niçoise salad and I got the seafood paella. He said the salad was really good. My paella as delicious! There was so much seafood. And the flavor was wonderful! I would definitely repeat the meal here. Again, I was not sure why this place got so many negative reviews (they were higher on Google reviews). Service was good. Located in Vieux Nice, the area may seem a bit touristy. The restaurant across the ways had a live band, which made for a fun atmosphere. Also, the whole strip got a bit livelier as all of the Monico Grand Prix folks were heading back to Nice.
