As a walk by stop in, this was great choice. The Nicoise board was done well, as were the other dishes. The staff were friendly and were responsive considering there was also a large (40+ dinner group at the same time. View all feedback.
What D B doesn't like about Pain & Cie:
So, it is not fine dining but it is a very pleasant place adjacent to the market for a nice breakfast. We found the service to be good and pleasant. The food was also quite a pleasant surprise! Wonderful pancakes with strawberries. The big Elvis breakfast was a sampling of everything and was excellent. Price reasonable considering the location. View all feedback.
We have eaten here on many occasions, usually for breakfast brunch but even on New Year's Eve! There is always a great feeling with a friendly buzz as the cafe is usually very busy. This means the staff are always rushed but they are always friendly and helpful. The bread is wonderful and the jams fab and these are the mainstay of breakfast. We always eat here when we are in Nice, thoroughly recommended
We were in Nice in February, on probably one of the few days that it rains. We started off our morning at Le Coin Quotidien, which is right next to the flower (amongst others) markets. You sit at communal tables and there is a rustic feel to the place. Each group of diners has a large selection of jams and other spreads. My husband and I shared the bread basket, which came with croissants, sourdough, and whole grain bread. The place was quite busy. We sat next to the window and hoped that the rain would clear up before heading out to explore the city. The staff was friendly and we did not feel rushed at all. Overall, a very nice experience. Yet even with the rain, exploring Nice afterwards was very fun.
Was a great spot for lunch. Had great service, fast and friendly staff who helped us as much as they could. Lovely spot to stop, and would definitely recommend. Was was perfect as well, couldn't have asked for more.
Came here for brunch with a group of friends. I found the brunch OK, nothing particular (there are better options in Nice), and not particularly good value for money either. What really let's the place down is the service. It was slow and unprofessional, with the waiters getting our orders mixed up. I would take my money elsewhere.
Très bien placé et menu petit déjeuner suffisant. Un petit bémol pour les serveur pressés de faire libérer des tables pour d'autres clients et sur le rapport qualité/prix qui reste à revoir.
