I... read more Cruising in the Mediterranean, we signed up for a shore excursion that included too little time in Nice. However, we did find this quirky and very good place. It started when the proprietor said “Hello, mate. What can I do for you?” in a perfect Aussie accent. Silly me, I thought I was in France. My first order of business was using the facilities, but when I came out to talk to him, I asked him where he was from. He was a Nice native, but he loved to travel and in doing so picked up foreign accents. I then noticed all the photos on the walls; pictures he has taken during his travels and quite good photography at that. We got glasses of excellent wine, not having enough time to sample the food, but what we saw served looked delicious. We did get a chance to talk to the owner some more and enjoyed his personality and experiences. He likes to talk about his travels and he helps you understand the pictures. Next time we are in that part of the world, we’ll definitely make time for food and more than one glass of wine.
