You may find yourself wondering, 'Where may I enjoy a delightful meal with all the delicious offerings but none of the fuss? ' You 'll be lucky to chance upon Mets and Café and their wonderful food as well as their kind and very competent staff. The madame who welcomed me was so lovely, as was the waitress who brought me my lunch. And what a lunch. The frites fries alone! Who makes hand-cut fries anymore? It 's nearly a lost art, but you can retrieve it here. The photos will speak for the level of flavor, freshness, and hospitality you 'll find here. And if you have the opportunity to try the entrecôte steak with the savory, umami cheese sauce that seems a like Roquefort went to heaven, do not miss out. The funny thing is that I nearly missed this experience — I was actually on my way to pick up something from a nearby shop, and the satisfaction I saw on diners ' faces (and a full house inside! made me double back and put my shopping plans on hold to understand how, on a regular Tuesday, people were so invested in this gustatory enjoyment... I 'm so glad I did. And they have San Pellegrino, proof they 're truly the masters of culinary joys and libations. Merci mille fois, I hope to return!
