You have to come here if you are in Nice. Reservations recommended for after 8. They speak English here and our waiter was lovely. Come here for some local made Nice specialty food. Ultimate place for French food. Lovely decor and music/ambience. Would come here again. Also the chick pea fries are the absolute best.

I enjoyed many dinners at this restaurant back in September 2021. It was so delicious I kept coming back daily for dinner. Each day was a new menu sourcing local in season ingredients. Loveliest waiter and talented chef. I’m heading back to Southern France for vacation and I would love to eat here again. Does anyone know why the restaurant is not open?

Visited June 2022 for dinner at their temporary venue, very gracious front of house that deftly managed a misunderstanding in communicating an order. Also saw a friendly attitude to other diners who were in Nice on holiday Starter of locally sourced tomatoes was absolutely delicious, pace of service was somewhat on the leisurely side which was fine given the vibe of the setting (handwritten menus/bill, family-run team)

I just enjoyed a delicious meal at Lou Pistou! A richly flavored tomato salad, filet of cabillaud that tasted like heaven, and a unique dessert of roasted figs. This is a tiny restaurant with a tiny kitchen. Thus, I was disappointed but not surprised to learn that they do not have a dedicated fryer so that I could try the niçoise specialty, panisse (chickpea fries). However, the tiny kitchen means that everything is made to order, and about 1/2 to 2/3 of the menu (depends on the day) can be gluten free. Also, the day I ate there, all four desserts were gluten free and all seemed delicious. Eton mess, panna cotta, mousse au chocolat, and the aforementioned roasted figs. Guillaume, the owner, tells me that typically all their desserts are gluten free. A nice surprise to end the meal with something sweet in the land of the patisserie!

Seven of us had lunch in this small restaurant on the edge of the old town in Nice. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy. – I liked the decor especially! We received a warm welcome from our waiter and the cook and were shown... the set menu and the a la carte. The restaurant is proud of its fresh products and specialties of the area of asparagus and strawberries were particularly good. We all enjoyed our selected dishes, but above all remarkable were the Artichoke salad, the Pissaladiere, boeuf en daube and the Brandade on the Gratin of the Leeks. The Panacotta with orange blossoms and Tarte tatin were also excellent. It was a nice lunch for our last day in Nice and we hope to return next time.
