Eravamo usciti di casa con l'intenzione di mangiare delle vongole al vino bianco e ci siamo imbattutti in questo ristorante vicino al porto. Ci siamo seduti e dopo 15 minuti nessun cameriere si è fatto vivo. Arrivata la cameriera fa per porgerci il menù, ma noi le diciamo che sappiamo già cosa ordinare (vongole al vino bianco, come da programma). La cameriera, abbastanza irritata, sbatte i menù sul tavolo e con tono arrogante mi risponde "Non potete ordinare adesso" e se ne va. Al che aspettiamo altri 10 minuti con i menù chiusi sul tavolo (segno evidente che sapevamo già cosa ordinare) ma nessuno è più arrivato, e nonostante le mie chiamate la cameriera faceva finta che non esistevamo. Pertando abbiamo preso e ce ne siamo andati, senza ordinare niente. NON CONSIGLIATO!!!!!
Abbiamo ordinato una porzione di cozze alla provenzale e un fritto misto. Il primo non sapeva di nulla e le cozze non erano per niente fresche, il fritto era buono. Prezzi più alti della media, non lo consiglierei affatto.
Nous avons manger avec ma compagne ce midi des moules qui n'étaient vraiment pas à la hauteur de nos attentes, elles étaient sûrement réchauffées, de mauvaise qualité ainsi que les frites froides,molles est sans goût, ce sont les plus mauvaises moules que j'ai mangé de ma vie,Si vous voulez de bonne moules sur nice allez au festival de la moule au 20 cours Saleya,elles ne sont pas plus chère qu'ici et en plus les frites sont faites maison ainsi que les déserts...
Accueil déplorable!!!! Cuisine horrible ainsi que le service... Nous avons commandé 2 mojito fraise en apéritif puis moules frites. Le serveur nous apporte les marmites à peine 3 minutes après!!!! Ce qui sous entend qu'elles étaient déjà cuites à l'avance, juste à rajouter la louche de sauce choisi.... nous en avons eu la confirmation en les goûtant car elles étaient froides ainsi que frites mais pas la sauce qui les recouvrait curieux non? Enfin les apéritifs sont venu à table alors que l'on avait déjà commencé de manger. Je vous déconseille ce restaurant!!!!
Belle adresse de moules à volonté, accueil toujours sympathique, toujours le sourire, et à petit prix, pizzas et salades

Went for a walk along the promenade and stopped in for lunch. Lovely little place, nice atmosphere and friendly service. Food was delicious and very well priced. Highly recommend and would go back again.
Im not usually the one to leave reviews, but here I just couldnt let it be. Me and my old father was walking by the port to look at the nice charming little boats, when we wanted to find a place for some refreshments and a small meal. We sat down, ordered two beers and some fries, as we were not hungry enough for a large meal. The two waitresses got very angry at us for not ordering a full meal and told us to finish up our beers quickly and get out of there. Im always very tolerant to the typical arrogance of some of the french people, I actually find it funny and exotic. But this was something totally different. They were plain rude and made the situation very uncomfortable for me and my father. The whole experience actually ruined my mood for several hours. Dont waste your time going here, lots of other options by the port of Nice…
We went into L 'escale as a compromise choice. We went onto the online menu for the place which was attached to Google maps. It turned out that the menu isn 't theirs. It has been incorrectly attached in Google. Still, the menu was displayed when we got their and it looked okay. The owner/lady that served us was very brusque. We are fine ordering in French (no English entertained here) but it was a very rushed affair that made it more difficult. The food was simply terrible. One of our children ordered a meat paelle (chicken/pork). There was also a seafood option but our children simply don 't like fish for some reason. The meat version came with mussles on top and squid throughout. The meat was simply added on top of the seafood version. Each of the five meals had some issue but I could go on all night about it. The service was simply bad. As an example, we order 2 Coke Zero and one coke. The lady didn 't write anything down and returned with 2 cokes. I corrected this politely in French and she seemed very put out about this. She then returned with 1 Coke Zero. She moved very quickly and ignored my attempt to correct this to the 2 already ordered twice. I then caught her and asked for the other coke zero. It never came and we gave up. The bill came and they managed to bill for the undelivered drink ordered. And the whole experience was so bad I didn 't even argue. I couldn 't wait to leave. All in all a terrible meal with terrible service and a terrible experience. Avoid.
If you want to eat the most delicious mussel dishes, the is THE Place. In a rustic local you’re been served by a very service minded staff. Highly recommended!
Had a lovely 2 visits to the restaurant during our week holiday in nice, beautiful views onto the boats at the dock, food was really good both times and served by a great guy called Stephane, we had burgers the first time for lunch and then a few days later we stopped in for a wonderful steak and chips, superb..whenever we are back in nice L’escale will be one of our first stops,
