We had a superb meal... read more The staff at Le Comptoir were wonderful! Our money and cards were temporarily stuck in our hotel safe but we were welcomed and put at ease. We had a superb meal, beautifully prepared, the food is delicious and our waitress was happy to translate as needed, great atmosphere! (We popped back with payment first thing next morning as arranged. Thank you for a great evening!

We were 2 couples, 2 of us not having a... read more I highly recommend this place if you are looking for delicious vegetarian/vegan or simply healthy organic food in Nice. We were 2 couples, 2 of us not having a particular diet and still they loved all the dishes and were impressed by the delicious desserts. Many of the desserts are not only vegan and gluten-free but also sugar-free. The owner even takes time to detoxify all nuts and do homemade nuts’ milks. The salads, soup, pizza, purée, veggie bowls, green juice and desserts were all healthy and fabulous. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere particularly joyful. The owner was very pleasant and patient to explain us multiple times each menus. I will come back each time I come to Nice !

Plus loads of vegetables and other bio choices. Don’t be fooled by the unassuming shop front this place is magical. Lots of bio drinks and excellent teas and coffee. My favourite dessert is the bounty : cacao, coco butter and coconut it is way better than the eponymous bar. A great find for people who want to eat better. Lovely staff. Nice is often a real let down but this place is a shining beacon of light.

It was the first week the place was opened and they still n... read more We tried this place as having a restaurant at an organic grocery store is quite a novelty in France. It was the first week the place was opened and they still need to work on things. I ordered a club sandwich and was told they had no club sandwich on that day. Never mind I ordered a tartine and as I noticed the bread was gluten free I asked for a list of ingredient as sometimes, ingredients to replace gluten can be an issue for me. No one knew what the bread was made of and when I went to check in the shop, I realized they are selling items without a list of ingredients, which is schocking to me. After long discussions, someone agreed to get the ingredient list from the provider. When my food arrived, I realized it was not what I had ordered and the waitress knew, she was probably hoping I wouldn't notice. Also she brought us the bread from an old table with only 3 slices left when she would bring a full basket with different varieties to other tables. I took it as a passive agressive move. Overall it's rather expensive and not very good, my husband had a plat du jour and did not enjoy it much. I was still hungry when I left.
