We got this place recomended from some of our friends that often travel to Nice. So as I see that many famous chefs from Denmark are traveling to Nice and visiting this place. Maybe it's just gotten too famous, I don't know...We went there and from seated till we had finished our second dish had gone 36 minutes. Our food was not warm, when we noted it to the waiter, he said that it's not supposed to be warmer... We were a bit shocked, but didn't insist more, just finished and left. Without dessert. Unfortunately few hours later I got sick and suffered from severe food poisoning for the rest of the following day. And the food was not even good (if we look beside the fact that I got sick). And way overpriced if compared to the old town or even the main walking street...

Starter and dinner finished in one hour. Felt a bit like an assembly line. Had heard really nice feedback on La Merenda, but food and experience disappointed me.

Very enjoyable meal on two lunch times. Very cosy so don't expect space, short menu on blackboard but team will translate it for you as needed. Local cuisine is the feature and as far as I can judge it is excellent, fresh ingredients cooked just enough. You can book by calling in to say hello, and they don't take credit cards. There are only two sittings so you may need to wait for your table to become free, but it is worth the wait. A good place to try something new. Seemed to be mostly local people there and a few tourists like us. A friend here recommended it to us, I guess it is well known here.

An unusual restaurant, very small and therefore very cramped, but the welcome and service were very professional and friendly. Simple regional dishes made with quality ingredients. Don't book late in the day to guarantee you get a taste of the pissaladière or lemon tart, as quantities are limited. The downsides are the close quarters, the prices, and the cash payment system. A bit disappointing.

So blessed that we were able to snag a table for an hour without a reservation, pleasee visit this place! The MOST wonderful, attentive service, and everything was delicious. We ordered the onion pie for starter, pesto pasta and beef stew for mains, and chocolate mousse strawberries for dessert. Has a clean bathroom too, and the ambience was lovely. Shoutout Qais
