We had 2 pastas L... read more Nice cosy restaurant with friendly staff. We had Saltimbocca for Starters looks like a small square pizza but more crispy. Highly recommended. We had 2 pastas Linguine Sardines and Spaghetti Vongole E Pistachio. Both were delicious. Our only gripe was we were served and charged for bottles of still water although we asked for tap water. Could have been caused by the language barrier. But other than this, it was a good dining experience.

There are quite a few restaurants just a street or two back into the town particularly in rue Bonaparate. We were really happy with our lunch the plat du jour which was penne with sardines, and our daughter with her gnocchi. Owners were really nice as was the young waiter, and we were given a table outside even though we had not reserved. Good value and the friendly welcome and service were also great.

We shared as a starter the mixed S... read more My partner and I had a wonderful evening at Etna Rosso with delicious food and very friendly as well as professional service! We shared as a starter the mixed Sicilian antipasti plate which was good because it would be way too much for one person. It contains cheese with pistachios, grilled aubergines with ricotta in traditional tomato sauce, tasty olives with sardines, two times mixed vegetables in a delicious Sicilian way cooked and bread with a delighting tapenade style cream. We were very well advised regarding our choice of wine, as we didn’t want too acid and found the advised Grillo white wine an excellent accompaniment for the whole dinner. After the starter, we had Pasta Vongole and Pizza Norma — again both delicious and both of generous plates, we hardly managed to finish! All ingredients are fresh, of extremely good quality and come from Sicily. Apart from the great food, we loved the very friendly, enthusiastic but also professional staff who are all from Sicily. We spoke English without any problem. French and Italian of course is also spoken. Credit card and (EU) debit card payment is both accepted with no worries. Try that in certain places in Germany.. We spent a really wonderful evening, we left very happy and more than satisfied and would recommend this place without any hesitation and we want to come back next time we are in Nice!
