Wow, I was lucky enough to meet Nadia (the wife) and my daughter and I went to lunch at Cafe Lea today and it was good as any meal we've had in France (and I live here part time) the swordfish was wonderful (my choice) and my daughter loved her veal it's wonderfully easy to get to from all parts of Nice (we walked over from the Port) and it's just a terrific spot Nadia works the front of the restaurant and her husband (who has gotten Michelin stars in the past which I completely believe) is the chef we were the only tourists there (full house) and the rest were very happy locals reservations a must.
This was our 2nd visit to Cafe Lea after discovering it on our last year’s annual visit to Nice. My boyfriend had the risotto which he thought was excellent. My friend both had the daurade but both felt it was a little fishy. I had this dish last year it was fabulous. 2 shared the decadent chocolate cake mousse dessert, a 10. A popular place so reservations are suggested. Service is friendly helpful.
We had an excellent meal in Café Léa last week. The chef uses the freshest ingredients to create a menu which changes daily. Our ratatouille starter was simple but full of flavour. The sea bream was delicious. But the highlight for me was the exceptional risotto with courgettes. Amazing. We shared two mouthwatering desserts. Service was welcoming, warm and friendly in this stylishly decorated small restaurant. Café Léa is away from the popular old town but easily accessible, just behind Place Masséna. Highly recommended.

The velouté de châtaignes was sold out at 13:00 hrs. So ordered the pumpkin soup as a replacement so tasty that my husband who found his ratatouille rather bland decided to order the pumpkin soup as well. 10mn later, he was told that there was none left. Same scenario for the risotto aux gambas, being pescatarian, he had no other choice but to order the cabillaud with green beans and quinoa on the side. The fish was perfectly cooked but the portion quite small. I had to have my meat warmed up as it arrived cold. The dessert was a hit, ganache au chocolat praliné. The service was inefficient but friendly. A bit pricey for a lunch. Overall worth a try, reservations are a must as the place is small.

Excellent little restaurant. A friend in Nice brought us here. The food is very good. Don't miss a dessert. The rissoto is better than anything we found in Milan. The fish was fresh and skillfully prepared. Order what the daily specialties are and enjoy.
Great place, feels like you're a guest. All dishes are wonderful, there were twice during our stay in Nice
I fought here for lunch. Simple dishes made from excellent ingredients perfectly prepared. Everything for very reasonable prices.

A small menu that enhances quality products, a perfect kitchen, you feel that the chef is a professional. Very good service. You can trust it!
Remarkable service, creative dishes, gay and delicious, suitable wines, with possibility to taste them if you take them to the glass. Correct prices. What more?
We're coming for the second time. That's fine. I love their risotto. Everyone felt it. The desserts are excellent. I loved citrus in the fennel can. The welcome is perfect.
All conditions are met to have a very good time. The dishes are fine and delicious with innovative accompaniment. I was not surprised to learn that the leader was once one of the Elysee leaders. Although the room is not large each table has a comfortable space around. A pleasant, warm and pleasant place. I've always had delicious moments.
A small neighbourhood restaurant or you will be welcomed with warmth and prefessionalism by Nadia. Her husband is in the kitchen. everything is fresh, everything is good, a small slate card but always a pleasure for taste buds. I love their chocolate cake.. and on Monday I think it is absolutely necessary to taste their cooked beef marinade and knife slice like a carpaccio!! A small address to know about keeping
