Plat du Jour is always exceptionally good value entree, plat, dessert around 18 euro. The CAFÉ DE NICE is a very good restaurant located in the pedestrian zone on the Corner of Rue Maurice Jaubert Rue de France. The food is very good, with quality dishes. It's always a pleasure to go there for lunch or dinner. The welcome is warm and the impeccable service makes you feel good. An address not to be missed. They had no seasoning a... read more My wife and I had the worst meal out ever at this place. I was served mussels 1 to 2 long which should have been thrown back in the sea. They had no seasoning at all, no parsley, lemon or wine. When I told the waiter they were inedible he just walked off. We were charged full price even though I couldn't eat a third of them. They looked like shrivelled up peas. Avoid this place, there are many other lovely restaurants around that appreciate there customers.

They offer several plats du jour at lunchtime every day, and with a glass of wine and a coffee, it’s still affordable for a retiree like me! I could not recommend this place more highly.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with anything. You have to order the sauce and sides separately. Beef tartare was also delicious. However, the baguette was a bit tough to chew on.
