My wife and I walked out to the Sandtrap restaurant, just over 1km away from our Bed and Breakfast accommodation. We sat outside to eat as it was a warm evening tables were quickly taken as soon as they became free. What Johnathon Torp doesn't like about Sandtrap Pub & Grill:
This pub was recommended to us and we were looking forward to a good meal. But it seemed like ages before the food was brought to our table. That ruined it for us. View all feedback.
Gluten free options are available and staff are knowledgeable about the menu. You do need to specifically mention you are celiac as some of the GF items are not Celiac friendly. NO DEDICATED FRIER and some things fried will be marked GF but they aren’t. Staff seem to be knowledgeable about celiac vs someone who doesn’t eat gluten so as long as you advocate for yourself and ask questions about cross contamination, you shouldn’t have any problems. The meal was really enjoyable as far as pub fare goes and I had a great time! Some of the best GF buns I have ever tasted too!
Paul and Matt were knowledgeable about celiac disease
I have twice eaten at this pub and both times had no issues with gluten. The burgers are handmade and gluten free and there are gf buns. Paired with a side salad makes a delicious meal. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
Fries not gf. Took about an hour to get our food and then some gf burgers came out on regular buns. Not good for groups over 4 and very busy at dinner.
Great place to eat! Waitress was knowledgeable about the gf options for the menu, chicken fingers, pizza, and buns for burgers and sandwiches.
