We stopped in here on our way to Niagara Falls after seeing their 'All Day Breakfast' sign. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The decor was like stepping back in time to my grandmother's house and could use some updating - it felt like a restaurant attached to a motel. The patio was closed when we were there, but looked cozy - although it would likely be fairly noisy at times because of the proximity to t... View all feedback.
What Gay Bode doesn't like about Lawrenceville Restaurant:
We stopped in for breakfast on our way out of Niagara On The Lake. Service was very good. We ordered the breakfast special which was sausage and eggs-very disappointed....no home fries, and an extra for rye toast. This was a first in a special. Not impressed, and won't be back for those reasons. View all feedback.

Stopped here on the way out of NOTL for what we thought would be a cheap and quick lunch. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and unfortunately that's where the positive comments end. The diner is desperate for a face lift and the lunch menu leaves lots of room of improvement. My husband had the burger and fries which he said was a 6 out of 10. I ordered a corned beef sandwich as the options were limited. The rye bread was toasted (with salted butter which I didn't ask for nor want) and the meat was completely unappealing. As I was staring, ate half of it and then couldn't stomach it anymore. It came with two slices of pickles which were perhaps the best part of the whole meal. A burger with fries, small corned beef sandwich and two coffees came out to over $30.00. To charge $3.00 per person for coffee, I would expect a Starbucks quality cup of coffee not coffee like it was made 30 years ago. I've read the other reviews and perhaps breakfast is what they are good at but definitely not their corned beef.
This is a nice family restaurant in Virgil, about half way between St. Catharines and Niagara on the Lake. It is well laid out with a comfortable ambiance, and the carpeting throughout helps with sound damping, allowing for easy conversing. The servers are efficient and friendly, and quick with coffee top ups. The breakfast menu is varied, but doesn't stray from what you would expect. The food is good; portions are good; the prices are completely acceptable. It is definitely worth a visit, and compares favourably with the NOTL restaurants of the same genre, which are generally busier, more expensive, with less parking availability..
I went to Lawrenceville with my girlfriend for breakfast on a whim. When we entered we were right away taken in by the cozy decor of the restaurant that reminded me more of a cafe than a diner. Our server Joanne qucikly came to us and greeted us at the table, and informed us of the daily specials. I decided too opt for regular breakfast, while my girlfriend got the egg benedict special. The food was nice, especially my girlfriend's eggs benedict. Acccording to her the coffee was good, too. My sausages were really tasty and not to greasy! But above all Joanne was fun to talk with and found the good balance between entertaining us without barging in on us too much. The prices were similar to other diners. My girlfriend and I will defenitely return to this place, greatly because of Joanne.
We have eaten here a few times, but find their prices higher than the local eateries. Selection is small but food is adequate. The few local places are a better value, but not as comfortable.
