Bella Vita - Niagara On The Lake

Fantastic dinner. Great food and outside dining. Best meal we've had in several vacations to NOTL, and that is saying a lot. If you like authentic Italian food, it's a can't miss.

This restaurant has good food and a decent wine list and is in a great location but I would not recommend it and won't go back. The service is terrible. First you have to walk into the restaurant where the staff is sitting around chatting among themselves. The night we were there every single person that went in wanted to sit outside so first you go in then they reluctantly bring you out. Seems to make sense to locate someone at the bottom of the stairs. Took awhile to get served and we had a surly waitress who argued with us about the food that we were ordered when we questioned one item. It was really a strange and not pleasant experience. We ate there the first night of our trip and had to walk by the restaurant every night. Every other restaurant was full except this place. No wonder.

Had dinner with 8 family members from B C this past Sunday evening the 13th; food was fantastic (we had halibut special, perfectly cooked and great flavour; others enjoyed pastas); atmosphere great; served by Annalise (sp?).....she made our evening even better, great server and wonderful personality....highly recommended....!!!

Just went for a Sunday drive to Niagara-on-the-Lake. And knowing that prices in this area can be very expensive for food, and expecting small portions. I was beyond surprised on the amazing flavours, quality ingredients, plus portions their pizzas/food offered. We had 2 types , from Margarita to Ilse. Amazing and really completed my weekend. Would strongly recommend this restaurant again and again. (And no, I don't have an investment in the company) If you ever visit NOTL, you must stop hereOnly small complaint, no kids menu, but I was fine with that. As it gave me leftovers for tomorrow :)

Just located in one of the main streets of this nice village. We ate some pasta and pizza and the quality was average. Nothing more to say. Good service and quite expensive for what we ate.
