I ordered the Smoke Brisket Poutine. The brisket was tender, juicy, smokey, flavorful and so much more. The poutine was hot, and fries were crunchy. They used shredded cheese and not curds but it was so amazing. Their small menu really makes it easy to choose. The burgers are also AMAZING. View all feedback.
What NA'DIA THOMAS doesn't like about Firehall Flame:
Service was good but the food and drinks were horrible ? like really really bad! I had the chicken penne and my husband had the ribs..but by the end of it all we both had the same thing...REGRET View all feedback.
Service was great food not so much. I had the half back ribs and they were very dry with very little meat on them, I had to ask for BBQ sauce but that didn't help. My wife was happy with her perch. Overall very disappointing.
Want a bad service experience. Head over to fire hall flame. 45 minutes of waiting and can?t tell me when they can seat me. Originally told its 10 to 15 minutes. That extended to another 15. Then another 10. Then they can?t even commit to whenthey can seat us. When pressed for a realistic expectation on when we can be seated they have no clue. Bad experience to startwith and extremely disappointed with there service.
I'm so disappointed with this place. Looks nice, pretty cozy, right on main central tourist street, servers are nice, but chef cannot cook. Went on Wed mid summer a week ago. Wasn't super busy. Dish with fish (perch) horrible. Fish not fresh, taste andsmell is off. Asked to change for a skewer of souvlaki chicken was so tough, it looked like it was cooked before, or boiledbefore, and then warmed up on grill. Everyone in my company said I make chicken souvlaki at home hundred times better, becauseit's freshly grilled. But we waited 20 minutes for that skewer, it wasn't as busy at all with orders. If you cannot cook chickenmeat on a grill you cannot cook at all. Chunks of Potatoes that came with dish are tasteless not a single pinch of salt orother seasoning used. We paid around $200 for 5 people because we are nice, but I feel I was ripped off as I did not have a goodmeal at all. Maybe a wrap was ok. My teenagers ate, it was big, husband finished it, it was ok. People who come to Canada don'tknow what Canadian cuisine is, but to be prepared so badly we have bad reputation in the world. Also looks like Canadiansdon't know what good food is. I'm surprised to read reviews here and seeing almost 4 stars for rhis place.
I really appreciate and express my deepest thank you to the Manager of FireHall Flame, and the Staff and the Manager of Corks for providing us a Table of 8 for my wife's B-Day fete Front and Centre, indoors but with the Window/doors open-we werepatioized.. Seating for 8 is a challenge. On Saturday July 16th, was an absolutely hot and beautiful day, the streets werepacked and the restaurants were flying busy. In spite of this chaotic paradise for the restaurants, The FireHall came through. They did run out of a few items-Mussels and corn bread but I ordered the BBQ Ribs and they were perfect, My wife had the SmokedBrisket Burger and Caesar Salad/shared and she loved it. Every item my party ordered was met with the comment, that the food isvery good. Although the Restaurant does not serve dessert-not to compete with the street- and I wish the place would have stayedopen a little longer- they close at 9PM-wish they would be open longer. The waitress and staff came through. Thank-you allagain, I'll be back. PS : I had their mussels last time-the sauce was a little watery-I used lemon and Tabasco to season-whitewine could be added as well but they were very good.....worth ordering again.
We were seated right away on the patio. Greeted by our waitress who seemed nice but rushed. She took our drink orders and returned to tell us that the kitchen was backed up tonight so things might be slow. We were ok with that, as we were not in ahurry. Our drinks arrived shortly after our order was put in. While waiting for our apps, a different waitress came to takeaway our side plates before we even used them! She asked if we wanted them removed as they were on the side of the table (wherethey were originally placed) Found that a little odd, but ok. We had the cauliflower wings. Asked for mild, but do believe theywere med. Little bit of a zing, but very good. My partner had the perch, giving it a 7/10. Myself, I had the chickensouvlaki. 6/10. Chicken was great. Salad was good. Potatoes were lacking, maybe undercooked and the tzatziki was sub-par. Istill had food on my plate and the waitress just came and took it away! I mean I was done, but didn't even have time to answerher. Dinner was good little bit pricey however, we felt a little rushed at the end. Taking plates away so quick and rushingthe bill.
